Centenary Article in ITP Journal
In our discussions with the IET we were put into contact with the Institute of Telecommunication Professionals, (ITP), who were keen for us to provide an article for their Journal this summer. Their suggestion was that we focus a little on the relationship between the RSGB/amateur events and the emergence of broadcasting within the UK. The article, expertly researched and written by Doug Brown, GM8FFH, appeared in Volume 7 Part 2 recently and can be viewed here (7-page/803KB PDF). We are grateful to the ITP for allowing the Society to reprint this article
The Institute of Telecommunications Professionals (ITP) is the UK’s leading independent institution for people who work in telecommunications. It has served as the professional voice of telecoms for more than a century and collaborates with regulators, government associations and other leading bodies on a wide variety of projects that are important to the future of the industry.
Formerly known as the Institute of Post Office Engineers (IPOEE) and the Institution of British Telecom Engineers (IBTE), the ITP has more than 8,000 members, representing in excess of 200 organisations across the UK and worldwide. It is dedicated to promoting the professional and career development of members through Professional Registration, training, mentoring and qualifications.
