British Science Week

British Science Week (BSW), run by the British Science Association, is an annual event celebrating science, technology, engineering and maths. It provides a platform to support teachers, STEM professionals and the public in delivering STEM activities and events across the UK.

British Science Week may be over for another year but why not give one of our ‘Time’-related activities a go at your local school, Scout/Guiding group or youth club?

Group of students gathered around a radio located on a desk in a classroom, with one girl sitting and operating the radio.

Thank you to all the clubs, schools and individuals who got involved in BSW 2024, and to all those who made contact with young people operating during the event. To provide feedback about the event, please email RSGB British Science Week Coordinator, Ian Neal, M0KEO at

You can see the press coverage of the BSW activities at UTC South Durham (pictured above) and look out for our British Science Week report in the June 2024 edition of RadCom.

And don’t forget, our Time-related challenge is running until 1 September. It is open to all age groups and there are prizes to be won!
