Povilas and Hamzah – RSGB reps at YOTA Croatia 2022

Aged 26 or under? Love amateur radio or want to find out more about it? This page is a great place to start!

Young radio amateurs get involved in loads of different things—from getting out and about on mountains with their radios, to making their own kit, or linking radios with their computers and enjoying digital comms.

Amateur radio is a great way to explore STEM subjects, and an amateur radio licence is an industry-recognised qualification that will help you if you choose a career in the Science, Technology and Engineering sectors.

Here are just a few things that we’ve got on at the moment…

Want to get involved?

Why not join the RSGB Youth Team?

The team has over 30 members across the UK, who work together to encourage young people into the amateur radio.

You can see some of their names on our website.

You’ll be involved in planning events, attending shows and writing articles.

You don’t need to have an amateur radio licence, you just need a keen interest in radio.

We value everyone equally so you’ll be someone who gets along with people.

Oh, and you’ll need to use a computer and check your emails regularly!

If this sounds like you, email youth.champion@rsgb.org.uk
