Worked All UK & Crown Dependency Prefixes awards

This is a new awards series for amateur radio contacts with stations across all UK country and crown dependency prefixes.
In regular use in the UK, we can have call sign prefixes as follows, each followed by a number that is potentially 0 to 9:
- England: G, GE, GX, M, ME, MX, 2E
- Isle of Man: GD, GT, MD, MT, 2D
- Northern Ireland: GI, GN, MI, MN, 2I
- Jersey: GJ, GH, MJ, MH, 2J
- Scotland: GM, GS, MM, MS, 2M
- Guernsey: GU, GP, MU, MP, 2U
- Wales: GW, GC, MW, MC, 2W
Additionally, there are various GB special event call signs and occasional prefix variations such as GV, GR, GO, GQ (and their M and 2 equivalents). This award series will only consider prefixes usable since 1 January 2025, so some of the above special prefixes will not be valid unless used again subsequent to this effective date.
Since a prefix also includes the numbers preceding the three-letter suffix of a call sign, this offers up a large number of potential call sign prefixes that are valid for the awards. As a consequence, the award scheme will offer a number of different sub-sets to aim for:
- Worked All England Prefixes
- Worked All Wales Prefixes
- Worked All Northern Ireland Prefixes
- Worked All Scotland Prefixes
- Worked All Crown Dependency Prefixes (Jersey, Guernsey, Isle of Man)
- Worked All UK & Crown Dependency Prefixes
- Worked UK Special Event Prefixes
The rules for each of these sub-sets and the full award are slightly differing and are described below.
Applicants and those interested in the awards should note that we are not asking for QSLs for contacts listed in applications for the awards. Since many intra-G QSOs are not QSL’d routinely, applications are based on the principle of trust, that applicants have genuinely logged QSOs with the stations listed in their applications.
All permitted frequency bands are within scope for the awards and all simplex modes, no QSOs or reports involving a repeater or internet gateway are permitted. There are no single-band or single-mode qualifications, but the awards can be annotated as HF or V/UHF if relevant, or single-band if relevant, and requested by the applicant.
Certificates are available as electronic (pdf) only format for self-printing by successful applicants. They are issued free of charge and sent by
email to the applicant.
