RSGB 2026 Convention – youth activities

We’ve got a great programme of events lined up for this year…

RSGB Youth Committee Vice-Chair, Leon Shaw, M0VUF says, “The activities we are planning aim to be fun, interesting and show young radio amateurs the benefits of being an RSGB member. It will give us the opportunity to show others what the RSGB is doing for youth in amateur radio”.

There will be:

Lightning talks: ten-minute youth-focused topics including one by the RSGB Youth Committee
Practical projects display
DMR youth net
Youth panel discussion on how the radio amateur community can encourage and support young people coming into amateur radio
Youth dinner – an informal dinner is being arranged for the Saturday evening

If you are under 21, you will receive free admission to the RSGB Convention. Tickets do not need to be pre-booked and are given on the day. If you’re under the age of 16 you will need to be accompanied by a responsible adult. Please bring proof of age ID.
