This year’s programme will bring radio amateurs a wide-ranging selection of lectures. Whether you are looking for inspiration from citizen science projects, are keen to learn more about DXpeditions, or want to keep up to date on the latest modes and band activity, there is something for everyone.

To give you a taste of the presentations confirmed so far, our programme includes:

  • Gwyn Griffiths, G3ZIL – HF propagation studies from the Baldock space weather Station

  • Nobby Styles, G0VJG – The preparation for DXpedition to South Georgia, March 2027

  • Brian Coleman, G4NNSThe UK Meteor Beacon GB3MBA and ionospheric research

  • Dave Crump, G8GKQ – Getting started in Amateur TV

Get involved!

There is still time to propose a presentation and be part of the weekend’s programme.

  • Have you been working on a technical project you’d like to demonstrate and discuss?

  • Have you been involved in starting or growing an amateur radio club and want to share your progress?

  • Perhaps you have helped to make the hobby more inclusive and accessible for others?

If you’d like to offer a presentation or practical activity on these or any other topics, please email us via convention@rsgb.org.uk. You’ll need to include a title and at least a paragraph summary of your proposal.

Hands-on workshops

If you like to learn something new in a more practical way, we are offering Convention attendees two workshops to choose from. Visit our workshops page to find out more.
