Optical Communications Propagation
Experiments in Optical Communications using high power Light emitting diodes (LEDs) have been undertaken by a number of Groups. The frequencies or wavelengths used have varied from near infra-rad to ultra violet. Rages of the order of 100km have been achieved on line-of-sight paths.
