Terms of Reference

To provide advice to members on planning issues to include:

  1. Advice on the best course of action in dealing with a planning issue including enforcement
  2. Drafting letters, forms, statements or correspondence for the member to send to the Council as part of a planning application or at appeal
  3. Drafting letters of support for the Society to send to the Council
  4. General advice in the form of articles for RadCom, Information sheets and the Advice Booklet and its www equivalent

The following activities are not within the Committee’s remit:

  1. Appearances on behalf of the member at planning committee, a planning inquiry or in Court
  2. One-to-one negotiations with planning officers
  3. Any tenancy or lease issues to do with private sector tenancies
  4. Any tenancy issues for social landlords to do with breach of conditions of tenancy, eviction etc
