Terms of Reference
To provide advice to members on planning issues to include:
- Advice on the best course of action in dealing with a planning issue including enforcement
- Drafting letters, forms, statements or correspondence for the member to send to the Council as part of a planning application or at appeal
- Drafting letters of support for the Society to send to the Council
- General advice in the form of articles for RadCom, Information sheets and the Advice Booklet and its www equivalent
The following activities are not within the Committee’s remit:
- Appearances on behalf of the member at planning committee, a planning inquiry or in Court
- One-to-one negotiations with planning officers
- Any tenancy or lease issues to do with private sector tenancies
- Any tenancy issues for social landlords to do with breach of conditions of tenancy, eviction etc
