Vic Pugh, GV2CQX, 29th May 2020

| August 6, 2020

Philip Victor Pugh (Vic) passed away in the early hours of the 29th May 2020 when Covid-19 claimed another victim. His call sign was GV2CQX. He told me that this was one of the oldest call signs as he himself was himself 98.

Vic had achieved many things in life through pursuing career in engineering after his release as a FEPOW during WW2.

He joined the RSGB in 1946, so he was a member of our Society for 74 years. We are truly grateful for Vic’s support over all of those years and are very sad to hear of his passing.
