Ron Harding, G3AKU, 1st July 2016
Ron Harding, an amateur radio enthusiast all his life, sadly passed away at the age of 94 o the 1st of July 2016. Ron’s interest in radios led him to become a Leading Aircraftman Radio Mechanic in the RAF during WW2, and, after spending most of the war in the Middle East (Egypt, then-Palestine, Aden and Oman), maintained this interest throughout his life. His children, Jane and Ian, grew up listening to Morse code, especially on Sunday evenings, and this will be an abiding memory. His wife of 61 years, Joan, had died the previous year. He is much missed. Thank you to all those amateurs with whom he was in contact over the years.
