Fred Hall, G3NSY died at age 83 in Shrewsbury, on 22 October 2014.  He was licensed in 1959 and a very keen CW operator, who worked enough countries over the years to qualify for an ARRL Honor Roll award. He was a member and former Chairman of the Salop Amateur Radio Society, based in Shrewsbury.

Fred lost his sight and his right arm in an accident when he was 13 years old but his perseverance in every aspect of his life was inspirational to all who knew him, and he will be sadly missed.
