JOTA/JOTI Weekend

Jamboree on the Air and Jamboree on the Internet (JOTA/JOTI) weekend is the world’s largest digital and radio Scout event promoting friendship and global citizenship. JOTA celebrates amateur radio among the Scout Association and the Society is keen to promote and support the event.

JOTA/JOTI 2025

This year’s event is taking place 17-19 October. If you are planning to get involved with JOTA and would like to be added to the below list, please get in touch via youthchampion.scouts@rsgb.org.uk with a summary of your station name, call sign and any other relevant information.

List of stations who have informed us they will be active for JOTA 2025: 

  • GB2GP – Gilwell Park, Scout Headquarters
  • GB0BSG – Brackley Scout Group – 40m, 20m, 2m – SSB, DMR, FT8 – 10AM – 4PM Saturday 18 October
  • GB0GDS – Greenock District Scouts – Primarily 40M – 18 October 10am-4pm and 19 October 10am-2pm – also active evening of Friday 17 October for DX contacts
  • GB0ROM – Romsey Scouts – HF down to 80 meters, All modes. VHF / UHF All modes with potential to be replaced with another HF station. Echolink and DMR which we can access BM server through hot spot or Free DMR through GB7CW SLOT 1 dial on demand. Internet chat rooms / teams etc
  • GB0BIC – Brecknock Area Scouts. HF & DMR. Saturday 18 October 10.00-16.00
  • GB0HDE – Harlow District Explorers will be active 1000-1600 (possibly +/- 1 hour) on both days. Primarily on 40m and 20m SSB, but also on DMR TG 907, FT8, and other data modes.
  • GB0LS – Icknield District Scouts – 40M SSB 1000-1700 both days, 17m SSB occasionally. FT8 on most bands
  • GB0NOS – North Oxfordshire District Scouts. Planned bands/modes of operation: HF & VHF, D-Star
    Planned times of operation: 9:30am-5pm, 18 and 19 October
  • G0EDS – Eastbourne and District Scouts – 40 to 10m SSB and FT8/4 – At Bushy Wood JO00CU, Saturday 18 October 09:00 to 20:30, supported by Southdown ARS
  • GB0SBS – Bradford South Scouts – (Fri 19:00 – 20:30 2m, SSTV, & HV) – (Sat 10:00 – 15:00 – 2m, SSTV, & HV)
  • GB0TVS – Hartlepool Amateur Radio Club (HARC) on behalf of Tees Valley North Scouts from the TVNS, HQ, 236 Stockton Road, Hartlepool, TS251JW – Friday 17 Oct evening, all day Saturday 18 and Sunday 19 until about 16:00 – HF SSB and CW. VHF FM and possibly using HF FT8 and QO100 Sat
  • GB0SSO – Chilton Village Hall, South Oxfordshire, by Richard, G0REL
  • GB0TFS – 3rd Farnborough Scouts
  • GB1USK – Newport 28th Scouts, Newport Explorers & Uskside ARS – SSB, CW, Digital Modes – 80m, 40m, 20m, 15m – 17/18 October – Cardiff University ARS Students are attending to support
  • GB1TS – 1st Twyford Scouts – HF, VHF, DMR, QO-100 – 0900-1800 both days
  • GB1ESG – Eynsham, near Oxford, by Colin, G4GBP
  • GB1FBS – 24th Hastings, at 1st Brede Scouts, Brede Steam Amateur Radio Society 10:00-16:00 Saturday possibly Sunday as well

  • GB2TVS – Tern Valley Scout District – HF and QO-100 – 18 and 19 October
  • GB2BMH – Bournemouth Scouts – Mainly 18 October, some activity on 17 and potentially on 19 October – HF, Scout DV Reflectors, GB3PB repeater
  • GB2CSC – 9th Bangor Scouts – 40m, 2m, Network Radio – 18 October 1300-160
  • GB2GFS – Goodwick & Fishguard Scouts – 40m most of weekend, 17m around midday, DSTAR, YSF, DMR, Echolink
  • GB2MAR – Marlborough Scout Group – 10m, 40m – SSB, FT4, CW – 18 and 19 October 0800-1800
  • GB2RRS – 1st Rural, Roughton Mill Scouts
  • GB2SPS – Sheffield St Paul’s Scout Group – 80m/40m/20m SSB – Main activation Saturday 12:00-15:00 with sporadic activity throughout the event
  • GB2UXB – 2nd Uxbridge Scout Group – 40m to 10m, 2m, FT8 & DSTAR – 18 October
  • GB2MKS  – will be active on QO-100 and HF 20/40/17, conditions dependent. We will be operating from the Quarries in Cosgrove through Saturday and Sunday
  • GB4DXS – Dewa Explorer Scouts – 20m, 40m, 18m, 4m, 6m, 2m, 70cm – Running most of weekend (no set times)
  • GB4LGF – Kent Scouts – HF Both days
  • GB4BPS – Poole Scouts
  • GB6CSG – Crawley Amateur Radio Club. Saturday 18 October. Activities will include, presentation on amateur radio, exchange of greetings over the air (HF bands), building Snail type Morse keys, CW Battleship game, Foxhunt, erecting portable antenna
  • GB6WL – Livingston and District Amateur radio society for the West Lothian scouts. 40m, 20m, DMR (on the JOTA talkgroup) voice and 20m SSTV. Saturday and Sunday.
  • GB4PS – Leyland and District Amateur Radio club will be operating as GB4PS for Penwortham 5th and 8th scouts on Saturday 18 October. HF and VHF
  • GB4NDS – Northampton Scout Amateur Radio Group NSARG. Operating from Cogenhoe Scout Hut, Northampton, Locator IO92OF on Friday 17 October 1900-2100 BST and Saturday 18 1000-1700 BST on HF, 2m, 70cm, DMR TGIF TG36222
  • GB8CS – Clevedon Scouts – 80m SSB, 40m SSB, 20m SSB, 2m FM – 18 October 0900-1700 and 19 October 0900-1600
  • GB8BAS – 8th Basingstoke Scouts – Saturday and Sunday – HF, VHF, QO-100
  • GB9WDS – Wetherby and District Scouts – HF SSB and digital, 2m FM, DMR – Saturday
  • GS4IAS – Inverness Area Scouts will be operating mainly HF Bands and SSB
  • M0KYF/JAMBOREE – 14th Sale Scout Group – VHF and HF
  • M7OMH – Bradford South Scouts – 2m & 70cm – Various points during the weekend
  • M7LLT – 1st Sherborne Scout Group in Dorset will be on the Air evening of 17 October
