Nathan Nuttall MM9OCC

Why did you choose to volunteer with the RSGB?

I volunteer with the RSGB to make a difference to all amateur radio operators across the UK and help the hobby continue for the next 100 years. Being a volunteer for the RSGB is one of the best ways in which you can support radio amateurs. As well as this, I love to help people and find it rewarding to assist members and non-members alike.

How long have you been an RSGB volunteer? I have been a volunteer since 2021. First as a District Representative and then since 2024 as Board Director as well.

What would you say to people who are thinking of volunteering? It’s very rewarding and a great way to make a difference to amateur radio and to give back to the community.

Which aspect of amateur radio would you still like to try? I would like to try satellite contacts – I’ve had one go using QO-100 but would like to do more.
