Aerial maintenance at NRC
The annual maintenance of the tower supporting the SteppIR beam and multiband dipole at the RSGB National Radio Centre will take place this Wednesday and Thursday (28 & 29 Sept.)
In compliance with EMF and safety requirements, GB3RS will not be transmitting on either the HF or LF amateur bands. The GB7PB repeater will also be switched off for the duration of the works.
It is anticipated that the work will be completed in two days, but may run over if bad weather is experienced. Radio operation via the polar-orbiting satellites and QO-100 should still be possible.
