Get on the air for Christmas (GOTA4C)

| November 10, 2020

As part of the ‘Get on the air to care’ campaign that the Society has been running with the NHS since April, we’re launching a new focus for Christmas.

Called ‘Get on the air for Christmas’ and shared on social media with the hashtag #GOTA4C, it will bring together a few activities that radio amateurs can participate in over the holiday period. It will run from Saturday 19 December to Saturday 9 January.

We know that Christmas can be difficult for many at the best of times, but with the extra restrictions due to Covid-19 we want to make sure that every radio amateur feels part of a caring amateur radio community.

We’re kicking off the campaign by asking clubs that are planning special nets for Christmas Day and Boxing Day, or indeed any time over the holiday season, to send details to radcom@rsgb.org.uk so we can publish them in the next RadCom issue, in the GB2RS news scripts and on our RSGB website.

Further information about the other activities in the campaign will be added to the campaign web page over the coming weeks.
