RSGB General Manager in RAC Conference keynote presentation
On Sunday 20 September the Radio Amateurs of Canada (RAC) held its 2020 Conference and AGM online.
RSGB General Manager, Steve Thomas, was invited to participate in the keynote presentation with IARU President Tim Ellam, VE6SH; ARRL President Rick Roderick, K5UR; and RAC President Glenn MacDonell, VE3XRA as moderator.
The focus was “Amateur Radio during the Global Pandemic and other topics” and it was a great opportunity for each of these guests to share their experiences of the recent global challenges.
On behalf of the RSGB, Steve Thomas was able to talk about how in the UK we have seen large numbers joining and returning to amateur radio, membership of the Society rise as well as interest in amateur radio grow significantly in the mainstream media despite these challenges.
