UK Events Planner screenshotThe Society is pleased to announce a new way to find out about, and post, amateur radio events in your area.

It’s called UK Events Planner and displays upcoming radio events as markers on a map of the UK.

You can search by postcode or place, and you can set distances from five miles to 100 miles.

The UK Events Planner can be accessed by everyone, go to to try it out.

When you log into your RSGB Membership Services portal you will find a custom link to UK Events Planner that displays all the events within 50 miles of your postcode—you can alter the location and distance if you want to look elsewhere.

If you are an RSGB affiliated amateur radio club you can post events directly on to the UK Events Planner.

This also sends details of your event to the RadCom editorial desk for inclusion in the next available edition.

To post an event log into your affiliated club’s RSGB Membership Services portal, and click the Events Planner tile.

Choose ‘Create an Event’ and complete the form.

You will be given the opportunity to preview your event and edit it before posting.

We will shortly be adding a feature to manage your events, so you can edit and delete events you have already posted.

The planner already includes events that have already been entered at HQ from the information published in RadCom.

If your event is not shown on the planner is most likely because you did not provide a contact email address and phone number, both of which are required by the Events Planner.

Please send your event’s contact phone number and email address, along with its date and title, to

Regional Managers and Deputy Regional Managers will soon also be able to post events.
