GB1YOTA will be on the air on 19 and 20 of July from the RSGB’s youth event in Wolverhampton. Activities at the UK event include workshops on Summits on the Air, satellite working, digital modes, Intermediate practical assessments and Centenary PSK receiver building, a barbecue and an ARDF contest

On 20 July, Chorley and District ARS will be operating the call GX7WAB celebrating 45 years of the Worked all Britain Awards scheme the club will be on 40 metres upwards. The club will be transmitting from the Angelzarke view point, near Chorley. More info on qrz.com.

Between 21 July and 3 August, the Stirling and District Amateur Radio Society is hosting the special event station GA14CGto celebrate the Commonwealth Games being held in Glasgow, Scotland. Visitors are most welcome to the station between the hours of 10am and 4pm daily and licensed amateurs who visit are welcome to operate. The activation will consist of 3 HF stations and 2 VHF stations and activity is expected from 1.8MHz through 144MHz; using SSB, CW and Data. Skeds can be arranged on request. QSLing is preferred via Logbook of The World and e-QSL. If you require a paper card, you may request a card direct or via the bureau using Club Log OQRS.
