Flight Refuelling ARS Hamfest takes place today, 9 of August, at Cobham Sports and Social Club Ground, Merley, near Wimborne, Dorset BH21 3DA. Talk-in will be on S22 and the gates are open from 10am to 4pm. There is disabled access from 9.30am. Admission is £3.50 and there will be trade stands, a car boot sale, licensed bar as well as lectures. Details from Tony, G3PFM on 07743 475 018.

Next weekend, on the 16th, the Finningley ARS Summer Rally will take place at the Hurst Radio Communications Centre, Belton Road, Sandtoft, Doncaster DN8 5SX. The venue is easily accessible from the M180 junctions 1 and 2. Doors open at 10am and admission is £3. There will be trade stands, a bring-and-buy and an RSGB bookstall.
