The South African Radio League National Field Day and VHF/UHF Contest come to the end of their 24-hour run at 10.00 today. Field Day stations are active on 160 to 10m on phone, CW and digital modes, and the exchange is RST, number of transceivers, Field Day class and provincial abbreviation. VHF operations, on six metres and up, can use all modes including FM and the exchange is RST, callsigns and six-digit Maidenhead locator. Details are at www.sarl.org.za.

The Russian Worldwide multimode Contest ends at 11.59UTC today, the 16th, after 24 hours of operation. Using BPSK63, CW, RTTY and SSB, the exchange for non UA stations is signal report, and serial number. See www.rdrclub.ru for rules.

Today, the 16th, the HF Contest ARS runs until 23.59UTC. Using SSB and digital modes the call is CQ CQ CONTEST ARS and in CW the call will be CQ CQ ARS. All modes are allowed. See www.arsitalia.it for the rules.

On Tuesday the 18th the 1.3GHz UK Activity Contest runs from 20.00 to 22.30UTC. Using all modes on the band the exchange is signal report, serial number and locator.

Next Sunday, the 23rd, the UK Microwave Group’s Low Band Contest runs from 10.00 to 14.00UTC. Using all modes on the 1.3 to 3.4GHz bands the exchange is the usual signal report, serial number and locator.
