Contest News – 22 June 2014

The 50MHz trophy Contest ends its 24 hour operation at 1400UTC today, the 22nd. Using all modes the exchange is signal report, serial number and locator.

The All Asian DX Contest finishes at 2359UTC today, having run for 48 hours. Using the 1.8 to 28MHz bands, exchange RST and your age, although YL ops may send 00.

The Worked All Britain 50MHz Phone contest takes place today, 22 June, from 0900 to 1500UTC. The exchange is signal report, serial number and WAB square. Entries need to be with the contest manager by 13 July. Full details of the rules and logsheets may be obtained from the WAB website www.worked-all-britain.org.uk.

The IRTS 80m Counties Contest takes place this afternoon, the 22nd, from 1400 to 1700UTC. Using both SSB and CW, in this contest you exchange a signal report and serial number.

On Tuesday, the 50MHz UK Activity Contest takes place from 1900 to 2130UTC. Using all modes the exchange is the usual signal report, serial number and locator.

Several contests occur next weekend. The first is the UK Microwave group’s contest on the 5.7, 10 and 24GHz bands. It runs from 0600 to 1800UTC on the 29th. Using all modes the exchange is signal report, serial number and locator.

At 0900 to 1200UTC on the 29th it is the 50MHz CW contest. The exchange is signal report, serial number and locator.

Finally, at 1400 to 1600UTC on the 29th it’s the 4th 70MHz Cumulative. Again using all modes, the exchange is signal report, serial number and locator.
