The 48 hour long CQ Worldwide SSB ends today at 2359UTC. If there’s any propagation at all, expect the SSB portions of all the contesting bands between 1.8 and 28MHz to be packed. The exchange is signal report and Zone. The UK is Zone 14.

Tuesday sees the 70MHz UK Activity Contest take place from 2000 to 2230UTC. Using all modes the exchange is signal report, serial number and locator.

On VHF, the Marconi CW Contest takes place on the first weekend of the November. There are 6- and 24-hour sections for Open and Single-operator Fixed entries. This is the final VHF CW Championship event of the year. Running from 1400UTC on the 2nd until 1400UTC on the 3rd, the exchange is signal report, serial number and locator.

The International Police Association Radio Club Contest also takes place on the first weekend in November. There are various modes in use at varying times on the 10 to 80m bands, for full details check out the website at www.iparc.de.
