RSGB IT Helpdesk still busy but situation improving

| May 17, 2022

There have been very long delays on the RSGB IT Helpdesk recently due to an unprecendented number of tickets in the system – this has of course been exacerbated by the rollout of our upgraded Membership Services login system.

The situation is now improving, but there are still long wait times. To help the system return to normal quickly, please note the following—

  • If your inquiry relates to Membership Services login on the old system, you are advised to follow the instructions in our recent email to all members on how to set up a password on the new system.
  • If you did not get the password signup email, check your spam or junk email folder first—it’s often found in there.
  • If you’ve checked your spam or junk email, and can’t find the password signup email, then it’s very likely your email address is out-of-date in your Membership record—call or email the Membership Team on 01234 832 700 (choose option #2) or email membership@rsgb.org.uk and they will be pleased to help you.
  • If you save your new password in a password manager like iCloud Keychain be careful as these utilities often use your email address as the default username—the username should always be set your own call sign, or if it is an affiliated club account, your radio club’s call sign.

We are aiming to restore our normal IT Helpdesk response times by the end of this week, and in the meantime your patience is much appreciated and we sincerely apologise for any inconvenience.
