Laindon Radio club resumed its club meetings on Friday, 21 August. They request all attendees to bring suitable face coverings. Refreshments will unfortunately not be available, so please bring your own if needed. The committee hopes to see as many members and non-members as possible on the popular monthly club nights. Colchester Radio Amateurs has an open CW net on 144.163MHz from 9.30pm on Sundays and Mondays. Tuesday sees open nets on 433.425MHz from 7pm and on 1.920MHz from 8pm. Felixstowe and District Amateur Radio Society has an open net on Sundays from 10am on 145.400MHz. Monday sees an open net from 7.45pm on GB3IH, and on Tuesday there’s an open CW net from 7pm on 144.070MHz. Wednesday sees an open DMR net from 7pm on talk group 840. Fort Purbrook Amateur Radio Club is running special event station GB1PF for Palmerston Forts this Sunday and on Monday, with various modes active on HF, VHF and UHF. On Monday there’s an open net from 8pm on 145.275MHz. Friday sees an open net from 7pm on 433.450MHz, moving later to GB3IW for a joint net with the Isle of Wight Amateur Radio Society. This Sunday, Loughton and Epping Forest Amateur Radio Society is operating GB0TBW for Trinity Buoy Wharf for International Lighthouse and Lightship Weekend. Wednesday sees the club DMR net on Brandmeister talk group 23511 from 8pm, plus 70.475MHz FM. On Thursday there’s a net from 8pm on 144.725MHz and Friday sees a night on the air.
