We start with a reminder from Newbury and District Amateur Radio Society that the 2020 Newbury Radio Rally has been cancelled due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

Now a request for extra GB2RS newsreaders to cover the East Sussex area. Volunteers will need to be a member of the RSGB and hold a Full licence. If you live in this general area and are interested in joining the team, contact Steve Thomas, M1ACB, via gm.dept@rsgb.org.uk.

West Kent Amateur Radio Society has daily open nets around 145.375MHz from 8pm. Details via email to info@wkars.org.uk.

Bedford and District Amateur Radio Club runs a daily net from 2pm around 3.748MHz. This Sunday also sees a DX net from 2.30pm around 14.329MHz. Monday to Saturday see a Zoom meeting from 10.30am accompanying a net around 3.748MHz or 7.068MHz. Monday also sees a net from 7pm around 3.748MHz or 7.068MHz. Colchester Radio Amateurs has an open net on 28.225MHz USB from 7pm on Sundays and an open CW net on 144.163MHz from 9.30pm on Sundays and Mondays. On Tuesday there’s an open net on 433.425MHz FM from 7pm, then an open net on 1.920MHz from 8pm. Felixstowe and District Amateur Radio Society has an open net every Sunday from 10am on 145.400MHz. James, M1TES chairs a Monday and Thursday Stay Safe Stay Alert net at 7.30pm via GB3YL, a repeater managed by the Lowestoft and Great Yarmouth Repeater Group. He has been overwhelmed by the support received with around 20 stations calling in each evening.
