First, details that Langdon Hills ARC has reformed under the name of the Laindon Radio Club, with a wider emphasis on all aspects of radio and not only amateur radio operating. The next Display and Discussion night is scheduled for 30 August with many activities being presented. New members always welcome. The club meets at the Women’s Institute Hall, Laindon at 8pm. We continue with clubs that have several events this week.

This Sunday, Southdown Amateur Radio Society has a barbecue at the chairman’s home from 7pm. Wednesday sees an FM net on 145.275MHz at 8.30am, a Hailsham shack meeting at 10.30am, a cafe meeting at 12.30 and a CW net on 144.060MHz from 7pm. On Thursday there’s a barbecue in the Spinney. Radio Society of Harrow has its net on 1938kHz LSB from noon this Sunday and next Sunday. On Monday there’s a club net from 8.15pm that settles on 145.350MHz FM. Thurrock Acorns Amateur Radio Club has a CW net on Monday from 7.30pm on 144.180MHz. Tuesday sees an SSTV net on 144.500MHz from 7.30pm. On Thursday there’s a net from 7.30pm on 145.500MHz.
