On Friday Newbury and District Amateur Radio Society will activate GB4GCT during the opening ceremony to commemorate the reopening of the Greenham Control Tower. Operation will continue through next Saturday and Sunday on 80, 40, 20, 17, 12, and 10m SSB and CW with the objective of working those who had a connection with Greenham Common Air Base during the Cold War. A special event QSL card will be available as well as an award for working the most band slots. Logs will be on Club Log and Logbook of The World after the event.
