Aberkenfig and District Amateur Radio Club has its weekly meeting on Wednesday from 7pm at Tondu Railway Club, Station Approach, Bridgend. The club is an approved RSGB Examination Centre for those wishing to study and take their amateur radio exams. Brian, GW4DVB, info@aberkenfigradioclub.co.uk

Carmarthen Amateur Radio Society is holding a face-to-face meeting on Tuesday the 7th of May starting at 6.30pm. During the meeting, Andy Digby, GW0JLX will give a talk entitled ‘Underwater videography in the Indian Ocean’, so there is no Digital Net on XLX 490 D that Tuesday evening. Three other regular nets are also being held: a 70cm FM net on GB3CM on Wednesday starting at 7.30pm; a 2m FM net on GB3FG on Thursday starting at 8pm, assuming the repeater is available. If it isn’t, the multi-mode XLX 490 D will be used a fallback. The Sunday net will be on 80m SSB starting at 2.30pm, conditions permitting. Cwmbran and District Amateur Radio Society has a club night every Wednesday from 7pm to 9pm at Henllys Village Hall, NP44 6JZ. New and old members are always welcome. The Society has a fully-equipped shack for member use which also houses the GB3YA repeater, with an Echolink connection via GB3YA-R. Both are owned and maintained by the club.
