Aberkenfig and District Amateur Radio Club has its weekly meeting on Wednesday from 7pm at Tondu Railway Club, Station Approach, Bridgend. The club is an approved RSGB Examination Centre for those wishing to study and take their amateur radio exams. Brian, GW4DVB, info@aberkenfigradioclub.co.uk

Carmarthen Amateur Radio Society is holding four regular nets this week: an experimental D-Star Digital Net on XLX490 B, or if that is not working, try XLX235 C, on Tuesday starting at 8pm; a 70cm FM net on GB3CM on Wednesday starting at 7.30pm; a 2m FM net on GB3FG on Thursday starting at 8pm; and an 80m SSB net, conditions permitting, on Sunday starting at 2.30pm. Andy, GW0JLX,  07768 282 880, G0JLX@mail.com

Cwmbran And District Amateur Radio Society has a club night every Wednesday from 7pm to 9pm at Henllys Village Hall, NP44 6JZ. New and old members are always welcome. The Society has a fully-equipped shack for member use which also houses the GB3YA repeater which is owned and maintained by the club. Phoenix Amateur Radio Club Cymru has now moved to its new premises at Griffithstown Community Hall, Victoria Street, Griffithstown, Pontypool, NP4 5HH. The club meets every other week on a Monday evening between 7 and 9pm. The club has a D-Star net on DCS002B on a Tuesday evening from 8pm. Rhondda Amateur Radio Society has now moved to Ystrad, Rhondda, Sports Centre CF41 7SY, where there is greater availability of car parking space, and better access to main bus route stops. The club anticipates that the move will make it easier for residents, both local to Rhondda and beyond, to access it. At present, the club is involved in getting its equipment and learning sessions up and running. This is an ideal time for new members to become involved. So, if you think you would like to try amateur radio, or one of its many facets, please give John a ring on 01443 432 542, or simply turn up at one of the club meetings to find out more. Prior radio knowledge is not required.
