We start with news from clubs that have several events this week. Sutton Coldfield Amateur Radio Society has its 6m open net on 50.135MHz from 8.30pm tonight and next Sunday. Monday sees an open net on ±145.250MHz from 7.30pm. Contact Robert Bird, by email to

Wythall Radio Club has its club net at 8pm tonight and next Sunday on 145.225MHz or GB3WL. On Monday there’s a curry night at the Monsoon from 6.30pm. Tuesday sees the regular Morse class, the 144MHz UKAC and preparation for HF SSB Field Day. The shack nibbles night is at 7.30pm on Friday. Next Saturday sees the RSGB 144MHz Trophy contest and the start of the two-day RSGB HF SSB Field Day. On Sunday at noon there’s the RSGB Backpackers 144MHz contest.
