News for England Midlands – 1 March 2015

We start with news from clubs that have several events this week. Lincoln Short Wave Club has its shack brunch today, with bacon butties available. Tuesday sees the RSGB UKCC and on Wednesday there are shack activities with G5FZ on the air. The repeater net is on GB3LM from 8pm on Thursday and next Saturday sees the regular surgery session. Sutton Coldfield Amateur Radio Society has its 6m open SSB net today and next Sunday on 50.135MHz from 8.30pm. The 2m open net is on Monday on 145.250MHz, plus or minus. Next Sunday sees a trip to the Wythall rally. More information from Robert Bird, by email to spirit.guide@hotmail.co.uk.

Wythall Radio Club has its club net on 145.225MHz or GB3WL at 8pm tonight and next Sunday. Monday sees the Foundation exam and the RSGB 80m CC Data at 8pm. The Tuesday Morse class is at 7.45pm, followed by the final rally preparation evening and the 144MHz UKAC. The regular nibbles night is in the shack from 7.30pm on Friday. South Birmingham Radio Society is sorting out its rally stock on Monday and has its regular coffee morning from 11am on Tuesday. Training classes with Dave Murphy, G8OWL are on Thursday.
