News for England Midlands – 1 June 2014

We start with clubs that have several events this week. Wythall Radio has its club net on 145.225MHz at 8pm tonight and next Sunday. On Monday the Intermediate course continues and there’s the 80m Club Championship Contest Data leg at 8pm. Tuesday sees a Morse class from 7.45 and at 8.15 preparations are being made for HF CW Field Day and the 144MHz UKAC Contest 30. Friday’s nibbles night in the shack starts at 7.30. Next Saturday and Sunday it’s the HF CW Field Day and next Sunday there’s a trip to the Junction 28 QRP Rally. Details from Chris, G0EYO, on 07710 412 819.

Northampton Radio Club has its open net on Monday at 8pm on 145.4625MHz. Thursday at 8pm sees a Foundation exam, natter night and debrief on the 2m DF hunt. Details from John Cockrill, on 07713 733 444.

South Birmingham Radio Society is cleaning the shack on Monday. Tuesday sees the regular coffee morning from 11am.
