On Wednesday, from 8pm to 9pm, George, MM0JNL, will be hosting a Technical and Support Net via GB3BT. The net is open to anyone, within range, who has any radio-related issues and needs assistance or guidance. On Tuesday at 7.30pm at Tromode Sea Cadet Hall, the Isle of Man Amateur Radio Society and guests will be given a talk on the Wreck of the British Brig of War HMS Racehorse by Brian King. The Racehorse sank off Langness 200 years ago with the loss of nine lives and inspired Sir William Hillary to encourage the UK Government to create a maritime lifesaving organisation which became the RNLI in 1824. Club nets are on the GB3IM repeater network after the 11am GB2RS news bulletin and talk-in Wednesday night at 6.40pm, Sunday on 3.715MHz and 7.115MHz at 9.30pm and 10pm.
