The Quantum Technology Club, and Southport and District Amateur Radio Club, start their first joint amateur radio foundation course of the year at 7.30pm on Thursday. The venue will be Cottage Lane Mission in Ormskirk. All are welcome. Further details can be obtained by emailing training@quantumtech.club.

We carry on with clubs that have more than one event this week.

Central Lancs Amateur Radio Club has its net this Sunday and next Sunday from 11am on 1.940MHz. Saturday sees the monthly club meeting. Contact Peter, G3UCA, via email to g3uca@blueyonder.co.uk.

South Manchester Radio and Computer Club has a net this Sunday and next Sunday from 10.30am on 3,637kHz SSB. Tuesday sees the FM net from 8pm around 145.475MHz and on Thursday there’s an introduction to 3D printing by Dave, M0YIT. Details from Ron, G3SVW, on 01619 693 999.

Southport and District Amateur Radio Club has its net this Sunday and next Sunday from 7.30pm, starting on 145.500MHz. Wakefield and District Radio Society holds their weekly social and on-the-air meeting every Friday from 7pm and their Memorial Open Net on 144.600MHz FM every Sunday from 10.15am, just after the local 2m GB2RS News broadcast, and all are welcome to join in. The purpose of the memorial net is to keep alive the memories of all the various people who have become Silent Keys in the last few years whether they were club members or not. York Radio Club has its breakfast meeting from 10am this Sunday. Wednesday sees the club net on 145.450MHz from 8pm and on Friday there’s a club night with training from 8pm—for details, see yorkradioclub.uk.

Stockport Radio Society has its net on Monday from 7.30pm on 433.525MHz. Tuesday sees the regular Morse class then a talk on railway telephony by Dave Roberts. Next Saturday and Sunday see the conclusion of the Intermediate course and exam. Contact Heather, M6HNS, on 0750 690 4422.

Wirral Amateur Radio Society is putting G3NWR on the air on Tuesday, along with continuing the Intermediate course. On Wednesday there’s a talk by Vincent, M0LCR and Thursday sees the regular ATV on-air and construction evening. Details from Bill, G4YWD, on 0780 488 4245.
