News for England North – 5 August 2018

We start with news from clubs that have several events this week. Oldham Radio Club is holding a D-Star net on REF 14B today from 9.30am. On Wednesday they have a 2m FM net from 8pm. Today and next Sunday Warrington Amateur Radio Club is holding a solder Sunday and operating afternoon. On Tuesday there’s a presentation, operating & technical help evening. Thursday sees a coffee morning and operating session. Contact Jeff, G1DYN, via email to secretary@warc.org.uk.

York Radio Club is holding a breakfast meeting today at 10am. Wednesday sees their club net at 8pm on 145.450MHz, and on Thursday they are having a club night from 8pm. See www.yorkradioclub.uk for more information.

Halifax & District Amateur Radio Society will be operating on FT8 this Tuesday, and continuing its Foundation revision and Intermediate training. Wednesday sees its open net on GB3HD from 7.30pm. Wirral Amateur Radio Society is having a natter night on Tuesday from 7pm, which also sees the start of their Foundation course. On Wednesday there’s a film night, 7 for 7.30pm.
