We start with news that a new club, Wearside Electronics & Amateur Radio Society has been formed in Sunderland. The first meeting is on Monday from 7pm at the 2nd Herrington Scout Hut, Crow Lane, New Herrington SR3 3TE. Plans include Intermediate and Full training, tea, coffee and homemade pie. Details are on QRZ.com under the club callsign G0BNK, which is used with the kind permission of the widow of the late Bob Butler.
Now for clubs that have several events this week. Today and next Sunday Warrington Amateur Radio Club is running its regular Solder Sunday from noon. Tuesday sees a planning meeting for the Halton rally. The Grumpy Club is on Thursday from 10am. Details from Ken Hatton, G3VBA, on 01928 733 234.
