The Online Radio Club has a virtual radio club night at 7.30pm every Thursday via Zoom. It is suitable for all radio enthusiasts regardless of individual skill level. Go to the website for the meeting link.

On Sundays, Appledore and District Amateur Radio Club has a net on 1.860MHz from 9.30am, followed by an SSB net on 144.260MHz at 10.30am. The club has weekday nets taking place from 4pm on 145.450MHz, except Wednesday when the net moves to 144.260MHz between 8 and 9pm. On Monday, there is a net via GB3DN at 11am. On Saturday 20 and Sunday 21 May, the Cornish Radio Amateur Club will be active with special callsign GB1SOS for SOS Radio Week. Operation will be on all bands, from Moseley, Redruth. North Bristol amateur radio club will be operating the callsign GB0ASH from Ashton Windmill today, the 14 May, as part of the Mills on the Air weekend. The station will be active on the 40 and 20m bands as well as on the Southwest Cluster via Timeslot 1 Talk Group 950.

North Bristol Amateur Radio club, in partnership South Bristol Radio club, is holding a special event to commemorate the loss of flight 777a on the 1 June 1943. The flight was en route from Portugal to Whitchurch Airport, now defunct, in Bristol. The event has been granted the rare callsign GB80AGBB. The station will be active from 10am until 5pm from the 30 May to the 3 June on the 20 and 40m bands and on the Southwest DMR Cluster Talk Group 950. Radio Operators Cornwall hold their Operators Net every Thursday around 145.425 FM. All are welcome to join in and shortwave listener reports are always appreciated. Covering all of Cornwall and into South Devon, the net has a focus on portable operations, but mobile and fixed stations are equally welcome. Radio Operators Cornwall and Poldhu Amateur Radio Club have organised an Open Day and Barbecue at The Marconi Centre, Mullion, Helston, TR12 7JB, on the 20 May from 10.30am. Club station GB2GM will be in operation. There will also be a demonstration of M0TIK’s “Ming” mag loop antenna. There will be burgers and hotdogs on the barbecue and tea and coffee available.
