RSGB Board changes
The RSGB Board plays an important role in the strategic direction of the Society
To ensure that it is able to continue to do this efficiently, it has co-opted two experienced RSGB Members to assist the Board until the AGM in April 2020.
This follows recent Board changes when Mark Jones G0MGX, Simone Wilson M0BOX and Chris Callicott, G4DJJ resigned from the Board.
- Dr John Rogers M0JAV has been co-opted as a Board Director and will lead the Growth strategic priority. He will also be the Board Liaison for the Amateur Radio Development Committee under which the Beyond Exams suite of initiatives sits.
John served as a Board Director from 2013 to 2015 and recently he has played an important role in managing the meetings of the Volunteer Leadership Team (VLT). In addition he has supported the Society’s efforts towards minimising the interference to our frequencies from EMD such as via VDSL. - Dr Stewart Bryant G3YSX will be assisting the Board as a specialist adviser with a particular focus on the RSGB publications activities and supporting the Contest Committee.
Stewart served as a Board Director continuously from 2012 to 2018 and has significant experience of many areas of the Society’s activities. Stewart remained as Chair of the Publications Group after leaving the Board and has been instrumental in ensuring strong management of our publications portfolio.
The RSGB Board is delighted to have the assistance of these two Members until the 2020 AGM when they will either step down or choose to be part of the standard Board election process.
