DX News – 4 November 2018
In international team will be active as 8P9AE from Barbados, IOTA reference NA-021, on the 6th to the 20th of November. They will operate three stations on CW, SSB and digital modes on the 160 to 10m bands. QSL within 6 months via DL7DF, direct or via the bureau, and Logbook of The World.
Col, MM0NDX, Eric, EL2EF and Jonathan, MM0OKG plan to be active as EL2EL/4 from southern Liberia between the 5th and 9th of November. They plan to reach Telengbe Island, AF-111, which is a new IOTA, before sunset on the 5th. Main activity will be on the 40, 30, 20, 17 and 15m bands SSB, with some CW and possibly FT8. QSL via Club Log’s OQRS, Logbook of The World or via M0SDV.
Andy, OE7AJH will be active holiday-style, mainly during his morning and evening hours, as 5R8UP from the main island of Madagascar, AF-013, until the 13th of November. He will operate CW and SSB on the 40 to 10m bands, and on 80m depending on the antenna he has. QSL via OE7AJH, either direct or via the bureau.
Special event station IY1EY will be active until the 31st of December from Loano to commemorate the experiments conducted by Marconi from his yacht Elettra in the Ligurian Sea between 1919 and 1936. Expect activity on all bands CW and SSB. A special QSL card is available via IK1QBT.
VI100PEACE, as well as State and Territory special event callsigns VI#PEACE and VI#LWF, for Lest We Forget, will be active until the 11th of November to commemorate the centenary of the Armistice agreement that ended the hostilities in World War I.
