The Milton Keynes ARS Rally will be held today at Longueville Hall, Hammond Park, Whaddon Road, Newton Longville, Milton Keynes MK17 0AT. It’s a modern venue with large indoor and outdoor areas. There is free car parking and doors open at 10am, with admission being £3. There will be trade stands, a car boot sale and catering on site. More information from Steve, G6KJU on 07866 673 192.
There are two rallies taking place on Bank Holiday Monday, 26 August. Huntingdonshire ARD Rally will take place at St Neots Community College, Barford Rd, St Neots PE19 2SH. Doors open at 10am and admission is £2. There will be a Bring & Buy and a car boot sale as well as the usual trade stands. Details from Clive Burchell, G3NKQ on 01480 810 473.
The Pontefract & District ARS Fair and Junk Sale is also on Monday at Carleton Community Centre, Carleton Road, Pontefract WF8 3RJ. There will be trade stands, an RSGB bookstall, as well as a Bring & Buy. Doors open at 10.30am and admission is £2.
The Telford HamFest in Shropshire opens its doors at 10.30am on Sunday 1 September. As well as the usual trade and exhibitor stands and specialist groups, a Shropshire LINUX group will be demonstrating a working 3D printer. The guest speaker this year is Rob Mannion, G3XFD, the retiring Editor of Practical Wireless, whose chosen subject is ‘My Adventures As Editor Of Practical Wireless’, which will be presented at 11.30am in an adjoining gallery to the Rally venue.
