The Microwave Field Day is taking place today, running from 0900 to 1700UTC. Using the 1.3 and 10GHz bands, the exchange is signal report, serial number and locator.

On 6 August the 144MHz UK Activity Contest takes place from 1900 to 2130UTC. Using all modes the exchange is signal report, serial number and locator.

For the entire 48 hours of the weekend of the 10th and 11th the first of this year’s Worked All Europe contests takes place. In this CW event, stations in Europe only get points for working stations outside of Europe. There are country multipliers and the added dimension of reporting the details of previously held QSOs, which enables those who choose to send and receive them to boost their score significantly. Next Sunday, 11 August, the 5th 70MHz Cumulative contest takes place from 1400 to 1600UTC. Using all modes the exchange is signal report, serial number and locator.
