Heard Island DXpedition postponed until 2015
The planned Cordell Expedition operation to Heard Island has been postponed until January 2015. Organisers cite the cost of chartering their preferred vessel as a major reason for the delay. The expected overall expenditure for the DXpedition is in the region of a million pounds, some two-thirds of which relates to transportation costs. Full details are on the DXpedition website, www.heardisland.org.
