Activity ideas

Get involved with World Space Week by hosting one of these activities:

• Introductory talk: satellites, orbits and OSCAR missions

• Live demonstration: track an LEO satellite pass and explain Doppler and antenna pointing

• On-air activity: demonstrate a satellite contact, QO-100, HamTV/DATV or ISS signals

• ISS SSTV: between 3–6 October, receive transmissions on 145.800 MHz, PD120 mode, and try to collect all six images

• Future focus: CubeSats, reusable launchers, SDR, automated tracking and future amateur payloads

We have three set of slides to help you run a talk on a range of space-related topics. You could use them at a club night, or deliver a presentation to a local group.
