Why did you choose to volunteer with the RSGB? I volunteered because on retirement in 2021 I realised that as a chartered accountant I had a particular set of skills and knowledge, and I wanted to use those skills in a volunteer role. The role of Honorary Treasurer was the ideal fit.

How long have you been an RSGB volunteer? I have been an RSGB volunteer for more than four years.

What would you say to people who are thinking of volunteering? As an RSGB volunteer you will learn a lot about the RSGB and amateur radio as well as developing our shared hobby. Having been an RSGB member for more than 40 years, I have learnt a lot more about the RSGB in the four years as a volunteer, along with a lot more about other aspects of the hobby. It has surprised me in a very positive way.

Which aspect of amateur radio would you still like to try? Currently learning CW and would like to make CW contacts.
