On Sundays, Appledore and District Amateur Radio Club has a net on 1.860MHz from 9.30am, followed by an USB net on 144.260MHz at 10.30am and a net via the GB3DN repeater at 11am. The Club also has nets taking place via the GB3DN repeater at 11am on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays. A DMR net via Southern Fusion takes place at 8pm on Tuesday. The Jersey Amateur Radio Society clubroom is now open on Friday evenings from 7.30pm. On Sunday at 8pm there is a DMR net on GB3GJ Talk Group 23516. All amateurs are welcome to join in. An old footpath has been reinstated to gain access to the club from the Meteorological Radar Tower to Mast B. Please be very careful as the ground is uneven. Mid Cornwall Beacon and Repeater Group’s AGM is on Sunday 26 October. Members of the Group are invited to express their interest in standing for any positions on the committee that may become vacant. There has been a lot of work done this year on the mast and building. This includes new safety equipment, roof repairs, the feeder opening to the beacon room being renewed and made weathertight, and new U-bolts for the antennas. There is more to be done but more members available to help can only speed up the process. Please consider keeping GB3NC safe and operational. gb3nc.org.uk
