Meetings of Bolsover Amateur Radio Society take place every other Tuesday starting at 8pm at the Bainbridge Hall, Bolsover, S44 6PX. The next meeting will be held on Tuesday, 1 October. Further information and reminders for meetings can be found on the Society’s Facebook page @bolsoverars.

Today, the 29th, the Cross Counties Amateur Radio Club will celebrate its recent affiliation to the RSGB and its first meeting of the year as an RSGB Club! The Club is on the air using the GB1CCR callsign and is working from Worked All Britain square SK76, grid locator IO93MD. Operators are using CW, SSB, FT8 and FM on the HF and 2m bands. The team also hopes to be active via the SO-50 satellite and the International Space Station. After a five-year period of meeting on the air only, the decision to make the Club official was taken early in 2024 after several of the Club’s founders progressed to Full licence status. With a strong focus on portable, Worked All Britain, SOTA, POTA and QRP operations, the Club serves all UK regions and meets regularly on Fusion Reflector GB-CCARC.
