November 2019 VLT meeting
16 November 2019 – VLT meeting key messages:
The VLT teams worked together at the last two meetings to define their scope, priorities and to propose their initial launch projects:
- Operating team – proposing to run radio marathons to support 75th anniversary of VE and VJ days, and creating ‘How to’ videos
- Learning team – launching Beyond Exams for clubs and individuals
- Representation team – rolling out Lelantos software to quantify VDSL interference and support individuals’ RFI complaints to Ofcom
- Innovation team – launching a regional short Scientific Radio Story competition for use with schools
- Support team – helping with the launch of the above and updating web pages to reflect recent changes
The Regional Teams are looking for schools to help with British Science Week 2021.
The recent membership workshop suggestions are being prepared ready for launch, which include:
- One-stop training portal for exam candidates
- Index of published articles aiming to help people who are new to amateur radio
- Promote membership of the RSGB to visitors at the RSGB National Radio Centre
