Now for news from clubs that have several events this week.
Central Lancashire Amateur Radio Club has an FM top band net this Sunday and next Sunday on 1.940MHz from 11am. On Monday there’s a net on 70.425 to 70.475MHz FM at 9pm. Next Saturday sees an AM top band net on 1.940MHz from 11am. Enquiries to Peter, G3UCA via email to g3uca@blueyonder.co.uk.
Denby Dale Radio Club has its club net this Sunday and next Sunday from 10.30am via GB3HD. On Wednesday it’s their AGM. Next Friday, Saturday and Sunday they will be operating GB2WYS at the Jamboree on the Air (JOTA) event. For details, contact Darran, G0BWB on 0797 442 3227.

Today, Oldham Radio Club has their D-Star net on REF 14B, from 9.30am, and on Wednesday there’s a 2m FM net from 8pm. The Intermediate course continues on Thursday’s club night. Angel of the North Amateur Radio Club starts their Foundation and Intermediate courses on Monday from 7pm; they’ll also be preparing for JOTA. Their JOTA event takes place next Saturday from 8am to 4pm at House on the Hill, Hillhead Road, West Denton, Newcastle NE5. There’s on-site parking and a free fish and chip lunch. Halifax and District Amateur Radio Society is meeting as normal on Tuesday from 7pm, with digimodes on the air. On Wednesday there’s an open net on GB3HD from 7.30pm, and on Thursday it’s the joint net with RAFARS on 145.350MHz from 7pm. Details from Martin, M0GQB on 01422 341 317.

Next Saturday and Sunday Hartlepool Amateur Radio Club will be operating a JOTA special event station, GB0TVS, from the Hartlepool Scout Centre, Stockton Road, Hartlepool. The station hopes to be active on HF SSB and CW, plus VHF/UHF FM. A full programme of activities run jointly with leaders from the Tees Valley Scouts group will enable local Cub Scouts to obtain their Communications Activity badge.
