News for England South-West – 23 September 2018
We start with news from clubs that have several events this week.
This Sunday, North Bristol Amateur Radio Club, as part of Railways on the Air weekend, will be operating next to the station building at Avon Valley Railway. They also have permission to work ‘Railway Mobile’ from live rolling stock, so may have a second station signing /M. They will be using the call sign GB0AVR for Avon Valley Railway. The event coincides with Avon Valley’s 1940s weekend, so lots of people will be in period costume, with vintage vehicles, both civilian and military. On Friday there’s a talk on watches, by Paul, G8YMM. Full details from Mat, G7FBD via email to g7fbd@gb3bs.com.
Also today, South Bristol Amateur Radio Club will be operating call sign GB0SDR, as part of Railways on the Air. On Thursday they host an open house and on air night. More from Andrew, G7KNA on 0783 869 5471.
Now we return to the usual listing in date order.
