Special Events News – 8 May 2016

Coventry ARS will operate GB8OMB from The Old Mill at Baginton near Coventry on 14 and 15 May for Mills on the Air.

Cambridge and District ARC will operate GB0CMW from 10.30am to 4pm on the 14th and 14th from Cattell’s Windmill, Mill Road, Willingham CB24 5UU. The Mill has external seating and tea room, the radio operating location is within the Mill, which is accessed via steps.

Cray Valley Radio Society will put GB6MW on the air from Meopham Windmill, Wrotham Road, Meopham, Kent DA13 0QA from 10am to 4.30pm on the 15th.

Leicester Radio Society will operate GB2WWM from 10am to 6pm on the 14th and 15th from Wymondham Windmill, Butt Lane, Wymondham LE14 2BU. There is a tea room serving snacks and main meals plus assortment of small shops.

GB1MAC will be on the air on various dates between 13 May and the 9th of June with Merseyside Air Cadets for the 75th anniversary. The station will be operated by licensed cadets and staff of Merseyside Wing, Air Training Corps.
